History of the Eurasian Economic Community Eurasian Economic Community (formerly the participating countries the Customs Union) was formed 10 October 2000, as economic and political association of states based on the principle of a single customs territory and the existence of the equal-regulatory mechanism of economies of States Parties, based on market economy principles and harmonized legislation. However, the formation of the States of the Five customs union and single economic space began even earlier, in accordance with the agreements of the Customs Union in 1995, the Treaty on Deepening Integration in the economic and humanitarian fields in 1996 and the Treaty on the Customs Union and Common Economic Space in 1999. Members of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) are now Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. For the prospective development of the Eurasian Economic Community and the establishment of a common economic space should be speeding up the process of harmonization of tax legislation of the participants in this community. For this purpose, consider the mechanism of taxation in these countries. All members of the Eurasian Economic Community are parties to the Commonwealth of Independent States, and there are close ties between the two organizations.
